AC-300 Acrylic is a high-quality plastic sheet designed to control static electricity for various applications. It features a clear, static-dissipative surface coating that prevents charge buildup, controls dust attraction, and eliminates electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. Its static control properties are permanent and unaffected by humidity, making it reliable across industries.
Features of AC-300 Acrylic
- Static Dissipative Surface: Prevents charge generation and dust attraction for effective ESD protection.
- Permanent Performance: Functions consistently without being influenced by humidity.
- Versatile Fabrication: Easily fabricated using standard acrylic techniques.
- Lightweight: Facilitates easy handling and installation.
- Optical Clarity: High transparency for applications needing clear materials.
- Chemical Resistance: Durable against various chemicals, suitable for harsh environments.
- Scratch Resistance: Hard surface resists scratches and maintains aesthetics.
Applications
- Electronic Equipment Covers: Protects sensitive components from ESD damage.
- Machines and Instruments: Prevents static buildup for safe operation.
- Desiccators and Cabinets: Controls contamination and static electricity.
- Transparent Partitions: Used in cleanrooms and controlled environments.
- Process Equipment Enclosures: Provides visibility and ESD protection.
Should you use AC-300 Acrylic?
AC-300 Acrylic can be easily fabricated into flat configurations but is not suitable for heat bending due to its hard surface coating. When solvent welding, the coating must be mechanically removed for a strong bond.
AC-300 Acrylic effectively addresses static control challenges in industrial settings. Its permanent static dissipative properties, ease of fabrication, and durability make it ideal for protecting electronic components and ensuring safe operations in static-sensitive environments.
